Robinson's Rovers Return

Oxford United head for Ewood Park on Saturday knowing that they will be facing one of the biggest crowds and biggest challenges of the season.

Blackburn could be crowned Champions, but only if they win, and well over 20,000 fans are expected to cheer them on, but Head Coach Karl Robinson expects his side to rise to the occasion:

“Nothing changes” he told iFollow today. “We will work hard to get ourselves into the best possible shape to win the game. That has to be our objective. We also have a duty of care to Wigan because we were competitive there- not as competitive at home! - and we have got to make sure we uphold the integrity of the EFL. Tony knows that and knows we will be a very competitive team.

“We are in good form - three wins in four games and we performed wonderfully well last weekend and are in a good place.

“Ewood Park is a great ground and they are good people up there so we will enjoy the day. I had a spell there under Paul Ince initially and loved it. I stayed under Sam Allardyce and it was a very difficult club to leave and I always said I would like to go back.

“I am so happy for Tony Mowbray and Mark Vernus, what they have achieved this year is incredible and their fans deserve it.

“Obviously Faz played 600 games there and so it will be a good day for both of us, but it’s a game we want to win. Play me at golf, pool, whatever, there’s nothing I’m going to let you beat me at. You have to earn it, and we want to win the game on Saturday.”
