Steve Evans on facing the U's

Peterborough boss Steve Evans has a 100% record as boss with two wins from his two games so far.

The former Mansfield Manager knows that his side face a difficult test against the U's though

He told the club’s website: “I don’t really know Derek Fazackerley but I know enough players who have been coached by him to know what the man stands for.

“They should have won at Wimbledon, there’s no other reason in the world, bar perhaps a penalty given against them that to all intents and purposes was soft.

“They probably felt they did enough to win.”

“We will certainly change personnel and maybe a little change in the system too.We want to pass it a lot better, but in the right areas. I’ve never believed in taking 45 passes to go across the halfway line.”

Former Oxford trialist Ryan Tafazolli could be in line for a recall to Peterborough's starting line-up after returning to the bench for Tuesday's 1-0 win at Bury, coming on as a late substitute.Anthony Grant is expected to recover from a knock in time to contest selection. Defender Alex Penny (shoulder) and midfielder Gwion Edwards (ankle) remain long-term absentees.
