Oxford United’s new boys meet some very familiar faces when the U’s welcome Bury to Grenoble Road on Saturday.
United have made three signings so far in the January transfer window: defender Rob Dickie from Reading, midfielder Cameron Brannagan from Liverpool and loan winger Isaac Buckley-Ricketts from Manchester City. All three have trained all week and stand by to be involved in Pep Clotet’s squad as they face a Bury side under new management.
The Shakers replaced Chris Lucketti with caretakers Ryan Lowe and Ryan Kidd on Monday and the new men in charge can call on five players who United fans know well: Connor Ripley, Phil Edwards, Joe Skarz, Zeli Ismail and Chris Maguire are all with the Shakers this season.
Will the U’s continue their good start to 2018? You can hear Josh Ruffels talking about playing against Chris Maguire in iFollow where manager Pep Clotet also talks about the departure of Jack Payne this week and how that influenced the shape of his team.
You can read more about the new boys in the matchday programme, available all around the ground for just £3 and available to read on your laptop, desktop or tablet on Saturday from matchdayfix.com/oufc
Most importantly, get behind the U’s on Saturday. Tickets are available in advance from 01865 337533 or oufctickets.co.uk.
The Family Room will be open for pre-match fun for junior fans, we have Manor Ground striker Mark Druce as our Guest of Honour and the club shop has its January Sale on for all those late bargains.
See you on Saturday.
