Oxford United have completed their second signing of the week with the arrival of forward Isaac Buckley-Ricketts on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old can play out wide or through the middle of the park and has most recently been on loan at FC Twente . He has played for England at under 18, 19 and 20 level and Manager Pep Clotet said:
“He is very fast, very skilful and I think the Oxford fans will like him because he is exciting to watch and always looking to make things happen. He is still very young but I know that he is very highly thought of at Manchester City who believe this is an important step in his development. It is great to hear once again that Oxford are held in such esteem and we will do all we can to help him continue to progress while playing an important role in the team.”
Buckley-Ricketts joins Cameron Brannagan at the U’s after the Liverpool midfielder completed a permanent move yesterday.
