Oxford United will look to build on Saturday’s excellent win at Charlton when they welcome Bristol Rovers to Grenoble Road on Saturday.
“I said to the players straight after the game that, as pleased as we are with the win we have had many many occasions, not just this season, where we have had fantastic results away and not been able to come home and put back to back results together” Derek Fazackerley said after the win at the Valley.
“That has to change and certainly if we put on the type of performance we did at Charlton with the integrity and the honesty that we showed then it gives us that opportunity.”
It’s the first game at home since Faz and Chrissy Allen took over the side and with a sold out away end already there should be a fantastic atmosphere.
“Saturday’s performance is something we’ve got to build on” ‘Faz’ said “We have to make sure that in the games going forward we have that same focus, intensity, hunger and desire; all the things that we spoke about and which enabled us to achieve Saturday’s result.”
It’s a fresh start and a chance to get behind the U’s once more. The support from the Yellow Army at the Valley was magnificent and we want to carry that on this Saturday.

Fans are reminded that due to the sold out away end we need to check that everyone in the home areas is an Oxford fan. Most supporters will be, but we advise booking in advance to avoid any potential queues on the day when checks will be made to confirm that those paying at the ticket office are on the database.
