CHAMPIONS....Our Virtual Pro Gaming Academy have won the League 4 South title and with it promotion to League 3 next season after a great season which included Oxford fans Dominic Wade, Josh Grant, Jack Kerry, Joe Teal, Daniel Leggett, Conor Murphy, Cameron Poulter, Aiden Murray, Jake Furminger, Neil Purvis and Academy Manager Gavin Buckett .
After being top for most of the season the Academy gained promotion and the title with two games spare as manager Gavin Buckett told us
"It's been a great season; all the players have worked so hard and it is great to see the hard work pay off. I'm so proud of the whole squad; they have all played their part
"As well as Oxford fans the Academy have two dutch international players Wietuh del Patio and Rik Mos with del Patio finishing top goal scorer in the league with an impressive 30 league goals in his debut season and Rik a good around midfielder. Both players have fitted in excellently and are now Oxford United fans. With the season finished team awards have also been announced:

Winning the league's Manager Of The Season award topped off a wonderful season for the Academy .
The Oxford esports first team currenty lay in 20th place in the esports Premier League, three points off the relegation zone with 8 games left. Manager Nicklas Volkmann said
"We have changed a few things tactically and brought in Pau Holm a two time Virtual Pro gaming Premier League champion and our results have turned around. We need to stay in the esports Premier League this season then next season try and push on and claim a Champions League esports place."
What is Virtual Pro gaming?
VPG is the world's leading virtual website and one of the biggest names in esports.
The match times and days vary depending on the league and competition. There are a wide variety of leagues but the one we mostly take part in is the midweek League which is on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
What is FIFA Pro Clubs?
Pro Clubs is a 22 player 11v11 online mode in FIFA that allows you to create a virtual pro player and play your position on the pitch with teammates in a true representation of online football . Your virtual pro will grow in attributes based on your match rating and earn skill points to spend on traits with the more matches you play .
