Oxford United Women have teamed up on the eve of their new season with The Athlete Centre, who will be helping the team with their Strength and Conditioning Programme for the coming season.
Manager Liam Gilbert told us:
“I am delighted to be able to work with the Athlete Centre, they are a professional well run organisation that will contribute massively to what we are trying to achieve this season. They have outstanding facilities and very knowledgeable coaches that are already adding so much to the holistic development of the players.
"The players have loved spending time at The Athlete Centre's Oxford facility and as the season progresses they will see a real benefit from the work they will do with James and his team.”
James Shields of the Athlete Centre was pleased to be working with the team:
“We can't wait to get stuck into the season and see how the hard work pre-season helps the squad. One of our primary goals is injury reduction and to generally help create a more athletic and robust squad going forwards.
"The squad as a whole move very well which makes our job a lot easier and reduces the need for a real 'back to basics' approach. This is hopefully the start of a very productive and successful period for both the club and The Athlete Centre.”
