There is another new face in Oxford United’s highly promising under 23 squad following the signing of left-sided defender Matt Taylor.
Matt, 19, played as a scholar at Wigan Athletic before signing as a pro at Derby County.
Having left the Rams he has made a good impression with the U’s since playing as a trialist in pre-season, and becomes the latest new player in the new under 23 squad
Under 23 team Manager Chris Allen said
“He has done really well for us and deserves his opportunity. He adds balance on the left side of defence, he has only just turned 19 so he is still very young, but we think he has potential and we look forward to working with him.”
