Oxford United fans in the UK get their first chance to experience full streaming of a league game on Tuesday night with iFollow’s live coverage of our home game against Accrington Stanley available to supporters in the UK and Ireland.

At a cost of just £10 you can watch the game live and listen to the commentary from our friends at BBC Oxford as well.

Nothing compares to the feeling of a matchday, and even more so the spectacle of a live game but should you be unable to attend the fixture in person, then iFollow is the next best option available.

Chris Williams, the club’s Communications Manager explains:

“The syncing of the live feed and BBC Oxford’s commentary has worked well for overseas fans so far and Tuesday is the first chance people in this country will have to see what it is all about.

“Obviously we want as many fans as possible to come along and support the team but there are supporters who just can’t make the match and iFollow will be great for them. Anyone trying it should be aware that it is one camera rather than the multi camera coverage you see on SKY but those who have been watching overseas have been really positive about it; adding commentary and graphics this season certainly enhances what you are watching.

“It is a huge thing for the whole of the EFL and hopefully everyone at home gets to see that first league win of the season.”

Fans based in the UK and Ireland can watch live EFL league games provided that:

  • They fall outside of UEFA’s Article 48 Blocked Hours (14:45-17:15 on a Saturday)
  • They fall outside Bank Holidays
  • They have not been selected for broadcast on Sky Sports or Pitch International
