Oxford United have added to their highly-promising Under 23 side with the signing of striker Harvey Bradbury on a free transfer from Watford.
18-year-old forward Harvey joined Watford after three years in the youth set up at Portsmouth and was then loaned out to Hungerford Town, where he caught the eye of United’s coaching team when scoring against the U’s in pre-season.
Having completed the paperwork on his move to the U’s it is hoped that he will then be able to complete similar paperwork to allow him to continue his loan at Hungerford, while training with the U’s.
Harvey already has a strong connection with the U’s where his father Lee enjoyed a successful spell, captaining the club.
Harvey told us
“I watched my dad play at Oxford when I was really small and he has told me plenty of times what a good club it is. I am a different sort of player to him, although we are both forwards, but the aim has to be to come here, train hard, score goals and hopefully get my chance with the first team.”
