Tottenham Hotspur Ladies visit Oxford United Women in WSL 2 action this evening at Court Place Farm (7.45pm kick-off).
The Yellows are coming off of the back of a tough run of fixtures, and heading into the final stretch of the season are struggling with key injuries to top players.
Manager Andy Cook commented on the recent run and injuries: “The team is coming off the back off a run of fixtures that gave us a couple of really bad injuries, and we have all felt for the girls involved; their seasons are over. However, we went into the last game against Durham with a broken squad - lots of knocks and injuries - and came away from the north east with a point.
"It really showed to me that this team has the desire to go on and do well but we need everyone together making us better. In that game, we had to make a change in the first 10 minutes as another player got injured and is out for a couple weeks, again, but that really galvanised us and showed that we can compete. The belief started to flood back throughout and to end that recent run like that sets up nicely for the last five games.
"We wanted more points, of course, but you play what your dealt and get on with it. We are going game by game and see who’s fit and available and then planning. We don’t know who’s playing yet so I wouldn’t like to plan against us, if we don’t know who’s going to play the opposition certainly won’t!”
