There is plenty happening this Saturday when Oxford United welcome Rochdale to the Kassam Stadium for the final home game of the season.
Our friends at the Oxford Mail are marking the occasion by giving away 5,000 balloons to turn the stadium yellow for the day and before the game we will be announcing the AWBS Supporters Player of the Season as well as welcoming Guest of Honour Joe Cooke back to the U’s.
There is one significant change of plan for Saturday to be aware of. Previously we had planned to unveil the new home kit for next season at this game. However since the takeover of the club there have been some very exciting commercial plans put in place including, potentially, new shirt sponsors.
An announcement will be coming soon on that sponsorship but the unveiling of the new kit will now be in the summer, as had traditionally happened, with the club shop fully stocked and ready for the summer and an exciting new season for the U’s.
United will wear this season’s kit against Rochdale - pull on your own yellow shirt and get behind the U’s one more time.
