Oxford United kick off the biggest week of the season when they welcome Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
United, with new owner Sumrith ‘Tiger’ Thanakarnjanasuth and Head Coach Karl Robinson at the helm, go in to a crucial period which sees them play three games at home in quick succession: Oldham on Saturday, Fleetwood Town on Tuesday and Southend United the following Saturday.
“It is an important week,” Karl told us, “and we want the fans to be loud and proud and get behind us on Saturday. The performances have improved, the players are giving everything, but we need to start winning games again and the more people we have here and the more support we get then the more it will drive us forward on Saturday”
Those thoughts are echoed by United’s new Chairman:
“The future is bright for this club but for now all of our energy must be on the present. This week is when we all need to focus and get behind the players in three massive games. Please stay positive, get behind them, and let’s do everything we can to start a big week with a win.”
