Oxford Bus Company has confirmed its backing of Oxford United for yet another season, by renewing as front of shirt sponsor of the Women's team for a third season.
It has re-committed to the club by becoming the Official Travel Partners and front of shirt sponsors of the home and away shirt of Oxford United's Women's team.
As part of the ever-growing partnership, Oxford Bus Company will provide the coach travel for all of the team's away games. The Women's team kick off their eagerly awaited WSL2 league campaign at their new home at Court Place Farm, Marsh Lane, Marston, against Sheffield on 24th September.
Oxford Bus Company provides extensive bus routes in Oxford City and Abingdon, luxury coach services to London and the airports, the BROOKESBus service, in partnership with Oxford Brookes University, and the prestigious park&ride service which connects five car parks to the city.
To celebrate the partnership, members of the Women's team will officially open Oxford Bus Company's recently opened Gloucester Green travel shop and customer lounge in the city's coach station before travelling to Court Place Farm together by coach for their pre-season friendly against Bristol City on 17th September.
Oxford Bus Company Managing Director Phil Southall said: "There is a real buzz around Women's sport in the UK this summer, following the incredible achievements of the England cricket and football teams. They are rightfully getting the recognition they deserve and it makes us even prouder to support Oxford United Women and we look forward to backing the team again this season.
"Oxford United share our values of supporting the local community we serve and embracing community spirit and diversity and so it has been a natural progression for us to enhance the partnership this season.
"We will have great value travel available on our City X3 and X13 buses for supporters to join us in supporting the team at their new home in Marston."
Andy Cook, Manager of the Oxford United Women’s team, said: "We are fortunate to have such backing from one of the county's most recognisable and community spirited brands.
"The partnership has really developed and the team love travelling to away games on the Oxford Bus coaches, the support really does make a massive difference on so many levels.
"We have a great squad for this season, pre-season is going well and everyone is eager to get started. With Oxford Bus Company on-board hopefully more supporters will be able to come along to matches and cheer us on."
