Military Day was a great success at the U's.
Every season we celebrate the work of our armed services and on Saturday against Rotherham we had members of the army, navy and RAF represented.
The Waterloo Band entertained fans before the match, Capt Chilton gave a fine rendition of the national anthem and two Chelsea pensioners delivered the matchball to the referee. There was also the formal signing of the Military Covenant by which the U's have formally pledged their support.
We would like to thank fans for their kind donations to SSAFA who were collecting before the game, and a particular thank you to Cpl Paul Ingham and everyone who helped organise what was a truly memorable occasion.
