It’s a big week for Oxford United with two home games against fellow teams in the play-off positions.
Pep Clotet’s side moved up to sixth in the table with a 1-0 win at Bristol Rovers on Saturday and now host the two teams immediately above them in Sky Bet League 1.
First up is a home game against Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night (7.45pm). The highly-rated Addicks have only lost three of their first 12 games, against Wigan, Gillingham and Plymouth Argyle. There have also been impressive, high-scoring victories over Northampton Town (4-1), Fleetwood Town (3-1) and Oldham Athletic (4-3).
Then United’s thoughts turn to another home game on Saturday against Rotherham United, whose hotshot forward Kieffer Moore, on loan from Ipswich already has ten goals to his name this season.
“It’s is a good week for us” Manager Pep Clotet told iFollow earlier. “We are in good form and it will be a chance to test ourselves against two of the top sides in the division so far.”
United are in red hot form at the moment with three wins on the bounce: come and get behind them on Tuesday night as they try to make it four in a row and then on Saturday when we have Military Day to add to the fun.
