U's team up to run wildcat sessions
The Wildcats programme will see 200 SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Clubs opening throughout England this spring, each run in conjunction with the local County FA and their key partners. The move will provide girls aged from 5 to 11 with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun, engaging and safe environment over a minimum 16 week period.
The project is an integral part of The FA’s objective to double girls’ football participation by 2020 and has been established in a joint partnership between The FA and SSE, supporters of girls’ football participation and sponsor of the SSE Women’s FA Cup
Oxford United Women has teamed up with the Berks and Bucks FA to run weekly sessions. Details as follows:
When: Sundays, 11:30am - 12:30pm, starting 9th April for 16 weeks,
Where: Tilsey Park, Dunmore Rd, Abingdon, OX14 1PU.
What: A fun session for girls aged 5 - 11 taken by FA qualified coaches who are fully first aid trained and DBS checked.
How much: £3 a session
All players get a free ticket to watch OUWFC home games at the Northcourt. Also, keep a lookout for our Oxford United Women players who will be regular visitors to the sessions.
