U's get ready for Wembley
Oxford United are guaranteed to dig deep at Wembley on Sunday thanks to the support of the Johnston Quarry Group.
United travel to Wembley to take on Coventry City in front of 75,000 fans for the final of the Checkatrade Trophy and will be backed by the Johnston Quarry Group who will be sponsoring the Oxford United Man of the Match as well as the post match event for players, staff and sponsors.
Johnston Quarry Group occupies a unique and unrivalled position in the UK quarrying industry, specializing specifically in the extraction of block stone suitable for further processing by the domestic, and international, masonry industry, volume processor businesses and construction end users.
Paul Keyte of Johnston’s Quarry Group said:
“It is going to be a fantastic day for the whole of Oxfordshire. We have been long-term supporters of the club and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of what the club has achieved over the last two or three years.
“We wanted to be part of the big day and are proud to be selecting the Oxford Man of the Match, which will be presented at an after game event which we very much hope will turn out to be a celebration. Win or lose, we will still be backing the U’s.”
Chairman Darryl Eales said:
“It’s fantastic to have Paul and the Johnston Quarry Group on board on Sunday. They have become good friends of the club and we are delighted to be sharing the big day with them.
“After the game, whatever the result, the club will be united; players, directors, staff and all our families just like we did last year after a great day against Barnsley. It’s a chance to end a big day out in the same way that we have approached the whole season: together. We thank Johnston Quarry Group for their help in making that happen.”
