This week sees an exciting development for the retail side of Oxford United.
For the first time in many years the U’s will have a store in the centre of Oxford when our new shop opens in the historic covered market.
On Wednesday morning Chairman Darryl Eales and members of the first team squad will be at the Covered Market Store to cut the ribbon and officially open the shop.
Claire Theobald, Head of Retail, told us:
“It is a very exciting week for us. So much hard work has gone into getting the shop to this stage, from planning and design right through to stocking it with kit and leisure wear.
“The shop looks great and we think it is important to have the club represented in the heart of the city. I’m sure plenty of fans will come and see us and we hope it becomes an important part of the Covered Market for many years to come.”
Darryl and the players will be there at 9.30 on Wednesday morning for the official opening. Come along and join the fun.
The store is part of the popular Market Barbers store within the Covered Market and we are pleased to say that season ticket holders get 20% off at the Market Barbers.
Initial opening hours will be Mon-Fri 10:00 – 17:00 with the view to also then open on Saturdays
SPECIAL OFFER: There's a free gift with every purchase this week (while stocks last)....
We are currently looking for an extra person to work in the shop over the summer. The role is part time over the next five weeks and might suit a student home for the summer and looking for work over the summer break.
