Oxford United picked up a point at Rochdale on Saturday with a 0-0 draw in Sky Bet League 1
“I think it was a useful point when you look at the conditions” boss Pep Clotet told iFollow. “Rochdale have been doing well at home and we knew it would be difficult but we managed to get a clean sheet and although we didn’t manage to score from the few chances we had you take the point from the game as a positive. I think the team worked very hard for it and we all wanted the three points but we take one.
“We spoke a lot after the Blackpool game earlier in the season that we could not be that vulnerable and we had to work harder to get clean sheets. I think we have done that well in the last few games.
“We didn’t concede today, last week was a clean sheet, Southend we conceded one but got a point. We are keeping the goals down against us and that will help us grow.
“We are in a good position if we stay solid because we have a lot of football when we go forward. We need precision when we do go forward and not everything works one hundred percent every game but at least we know we have the hard work and can keep clean sheets if that happens.”
