PREVIEW Oxford United v Cheltenham Town

Oxford United welcome Cheltenham Town to Grenoble Road this evening in the Carabao Cup.

TEAM NEWS

United should be able to welcome Kane Hemmings back into the squad after he missed out on the opening day win at Oldham on Saturday.

The striker had a tight quad muscle and wasn't risked but trained yesterday and could add to United's attacking options.

Manager Pep Clotet has to weigh up whether to change a winning side in order to give other players game time. Mike Williamson did well on debut but may not be risked so soon after his first game, which could mean a return for Aaron Martin at centre half. Spanish midfielder Xemi Fernandez and winger Rob Hall will also be hoping to play, while Dutch international Dwight Tiendalli could be involved for the first time.

Brazilian left-back Ricardinho is unlikely to be risked as he gets fully fit, while Charlie Raglan is the one player definitely ruled out with an ankle injury that will keep him out for the opening weeks of the season.
