Managing Director Greig Box Turnbull outlines club's stance on Whole Game Solution
Today saw a conference for EFL Clubs at Walsall football club's stadium.
Following a statement from the EFL on ‘B teams’ within the leagues Oxford United would like to clarify their own position.
Clubs were asked to feedback to the EFL on their early position on the Whole Game Solution ahead of the conference.
Of the 42 clubs that responded the majority were against introducing B teams into the league structure.
Managing Director Greig Box Turnbull said:
“As we have stated before we are always keen to look at ways of safeguarding the future of football in this country, and will always listen to new ideas and proposals. We respect the history and traditions of the league but also believe that debate is healthy in any organisation.
“However, the Board have always been firmly against the introduction of ‘B’ teams to the league, and as we have always believed, most clubs have the same thoughts as us."
