Take a look as the U's make it six in a row
Oxford United Head Coach Michael Appleton dedicated Saturday’s win over Swindon Town to the fans. The United support were magnificent as the U’s made it six derby wins in a row and Michael told Yellow Player HD
“Obviously we are delighted to win it for the fans.
“It means so much to them- for us it means three points but we know what the occasion means as well. The way we set our stall out from the first minute was pleasing. We changed shape, made their keeper kick as much as we could and I thought once we’d dominated early on we picked up the second ball more and more in that first half and kept on top of them.
“We got the goal ahead and I thought the discipline of our players was fantastic all day long. At half time we spoke about keeping our discipline and there won’t be too many times this year that the opposition are better disciplined than we are.
“It’s a clean sheet, another victory and hopefully now we can go and get our first away win next week ,which will be important to us, and kick on from there.”
