U's team up with the Stars
Oxford United were happy to host the launch this week of the Oxford City Stars’ new home kit for the 2016/17.
Both clubs are finalising the latest step in their Oxfordshire United project. Oxfordshire United was originally launched a few years ago to signify a connection between the two clubs and their affiliation to the County of Oxfordshire and the large number of fans that support both teams.
Exciting news is to follow on the Oxfordshire United Project in the coming weeks, news which will be of benefit to fans of both sports.
Oxford City Stars have kept with the yellow and blue theme for the home shirt which features the Oxford United ox head on the back. The Stars shirt also features an outline of the skyline of Oxford, stars, and the club’s sponsors.
Stars director Russell Shrives said “We’re so pleased with the look of the kit, with more news coming soon about our partnership with Oxford United, this is a good indication of the close ties between ourselves and our bigger sporting brother”. Shrives added “our club partners are also really impressed with the design and I’m really looking forward to seeing the boys in the kit out on the ice on September 11th”.
