Women at Home to Bristol City on Sunday

City high flyers the last visitors to Northcourt Road this season

This Sunday sees Oxford United Ladies take on Bristol City Women in their final game of the WSL2 season.

Les Taylor's young side have attracted big crowds to Northcourt Road this season and another looks on the cards against a Robins side who have had a fantastic year and have subsequently been promoted to WSL League One.

They could wrap up the WSL Super League Two trophy if other results go their way but the U's will be determined to end their season on a high as well. It all adds up to a fantastic last game, and with a warm welcome always assured why not pop along and lend your support.

"We want to end the season well and being the underdogs should be great motivation for our girls" Manager Les Taylor told us.It has been a stop-start second half of the season with long gaps between matches, and that has made it tough for us to gather any real momentum. The last two games have been very close in terms of football, even if they were a month apart.

"Obviously Ini’s goals have been a massive plus for us this season but I think we can take a number of positives from the way we have performed. Result  have been disappointing and we are not where we wanted to be in the league table but it was always going to be a tough season and we were determined to do the right things and give our young players the chance to perform at this level and gain invaluable experience. They will all have benefitted from this season and be better players as a result."
