Holly and Laura get ready for the new WSL2 Season
Oxford United Women’s preparations for the new season are almost complete, with Holly Pickett and Laura Nichol both agreeing deals for the new season, which kicks off next Thursday at home to Millwall Lionesses.Winger Holly, 24, has been with the U’s since 2008 and is delighted to be part of the squad for what promises to be an exciting new season.
“ I am very happy to be signing for another year” she said. “Having reflected on the 2015 season, I hope to be more consistent in my own game and create more opportunities for the team in 2016, as well as help the younger players progress with their own development”.
Manager Les Taylor said
“Even though Holly is still relatively young, she is now classed as one of our more ”experienced” players and with a young squad her presence on the pitch will be really beneficial and invaluable to the team, to help and guide the younger players.
I am really pleased that Holly has re-signed and look forward to working with her for the coming season.”
“Laura Nichol finished last season really well with some fine performances. She can play at either full back or midfield so will be an important asset to the squad. Laura possesses the necessary attributes to have a very good opportunity of making the grade and is another young player with tremendous prospects for the future.”
