Josh Ruffels visits Helen and Douglas House to help fan Jon
Oxford United and supporters group Oxvox have teamed up to ensure that fan Johnathan Driscoll has a great day at Wembley on Sunday.Johnathan suffers from a form of Muscular Dystrophy and resides at Helen & Douglas House in Oxford. Earlier today midfielder Josh Ruffels went along to present Johnathan with a Wembley shirt signed by all the players. He was also able to give Jon a special gift for his birthday - two tickets for the big game in the Bobby Moore suite at Wembley
Those tickets were donated by Supporters Direct to OxVox who were happy to help make Jon’s day extra special by adding in the shirt.
Josh took time out of United’s busy preparations to spend time chatting with long-time fan Jon, and said
“It was good to spend time with Jon and his dad and also to talk with the staff at Helen and Douglas House who do such a fantastic job; they all seem to be going to Wembley with us too, which is great to hear. It’s good to see the club working hand in hand with the fans and Oxvox and hopefully Jonathan has a fantastic day on Sunday.”
