Robbie agrees new extension to his deal
Oxford United defender Robbie Cundy has signed a new deal with the U’s that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2017.The 18-year-old centre-half has impressed this season, his first as a professional, making his first team debut away at Dagenham and playing regularly on loan at Gloucester City. He told us
“I’ve enjoyed my football this season and it’s good to get next year sorted as well. I wanted to be involved with the first team if I could this season, and have done that, and I feel that playing for Gloucester has really helped my game. I now have the chance to keep working hard, keep learning, and hopefully have an even better season next time around.”
Head Coach Michael Appleton said
“Robbie has done really well. He has a fantastic attitude, he listens to advice and he wants to improve all the time. We look forward to working with him next year and seeing how he develops.”
