TEAM NEWS
Oxford United have no new injuries as they prepare for the home game against Morecambe on Saturday. Defender Sam Long is the only absentee but is recovering quicker than expected from his ankle injury and is ahead of schedule for his return. Otherwise boss Michael Appleton can call on his whole squad, with Ryan Taylor and Pat Hoban boosting their chances by scoring in a Development Side win at Barnet on Tuesday afternoon.
See Michael, Johnny Mullins and Danny Hylton talking about the game in Yellow Player HD where we also have the Preview Show, a great interview with U's legend Damian Batt and a first chat with new signing Jonny Giles. And of course, we will also have the whole game LIVE on Saturday plus extended highlights on Sunday lunchtime.
THE OPPOSITION
Morecambe start the game level on points with United despite losing 4-2 to Northampton last time out. Jim Bentley's side have played an open, attacking style of game so far this season but the Manager admitted after the Cobblers game that he may have to reconsider his options
"Going forwards we’re looking good and are really positive" he said. “But we’ve got to get the balance right. There’s a fine line between scoring goals and conceding them.
“Do you shut up shop and take something away from your attacking flair or do you continue to go the way you’re going?
“When you get beaten at home in the manner we did you’ve got to address things.”
