Early Team News for Portsmouth

Roofe and Mullins back in training, Sercombe returns from suspension

With Oxford United getting ready to face Portsmouth on Saturday there was good news from the training ground.

Kemar Roofe returned to training less than a fortnight after injuring his shoulder at Bristol Rovers, with coach Chris Allen proclaiming: "Kemar will train with the rest of the squad today and provided there's no reaction to his injury he will be in contention for a return to the side for Saturday's game."

Johnny Mullins, who rolled an ankle in training two weeks ago and who missed both the Bristol Rovers and Northampton games, is also back in full training today, giving head coach Michael Appleton some interesting selection dilemmas for the Portsmouth game.

With Liam Sercombe also available after serving a one-match suspension for his two yellow cards at the Memorial Stadium, the only absentee is Sam Long, who was stretchered off at Hillsborough in United's Capital One Cup second round tie against Sheffield Wednesday.

There are interviews with Chris Allen and Liam Sercombe in Yellow Player HD right now.
