Ashby Returns As Collins Loan is Extended

Loan Update as United prepare for Stevenage

Midfielder Josh Ashby is likely to be in the Oxford United squad at Stevenage tomorrow after being recalled from his loan at Telford.

The 19-year-old playmaker was due to return to the U's after his final game for Telford, at home to Alfreton on Saturday, but has been recalled slightly early due to an injury to Josh Ruffels.

Ruffels will require a scan on a foot injury which caused him some discomfort after Tuesday's Development Side win over Swindon Town. He will have a scan to assess the extent of the damage but misses the trip to Stevenage, with Ashby likely to be a straight replacement on the bench.

Meanwhile midfielder Michael Collins is to stay at York City for another month. Michael's initial loan with the Minstermen runs out after Saturday's away game at Crawley but the two clubs have agreed to extend the loan for a further month.
