Oxford United Community Trust is a charity that exists to educate, empower and inspire our fans, and the wider Oxfordshire community, helping everyone to fulfill their potential and achieve their dreams. 

The charity works across four key themes:

• Health and Wellbeing and
• Social Inclusion. 


The Trust is currently looking to recruit for three roles

Female Development Officer
The Trust believes it is vital for everyone, no matter what their personal circumstances to have the support they need to be the best possible version of themselves. With this in mind, we are, for the first time, investing in a full time role dedicated to supporting women and girls into sport and football, both as players but also as part of the workforce. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• To coordinate a programme of activities that promotes participation in sport and football amongst women and girls. 
• To oversee all aspects of the planning and delivery of the Female Football Development programme in line with targets set by the funding body. 
• Work closely with both internal and external partners to provide a coherent approach to our female offer and to increase opportunities for participation, coaching and volunteering for women and girls.
• Increase the reach of our female offer across the county and act as an ambassador for females in sport. 
• Oversee the coaching, administration and management for the Community Trust’s Female Development Programme. 
• Act as the lead coach on the Community Trust’s Female Development Programme, creating and delivering demographic specific syllabuses.
• Work with the Head of Sports Development on the financial management of the Female Development Programme. 
• To meet the monitoring and evaluation requirements of all external funders for female projects.

• To demonstrate and promote ethical behaviour appropriate to that which would be expected by our customers. 
• To participate in the adoption and promotion of the Trust’s inclusion initiative. 
• To work in a flexible manner and to be willing to undertake other duties as reasonably requested including outside office hours by the Operations Director.

Community Coach/Assistant Coach

Delivering sports participation programmes that are open and inclusive to everyone across Oxfordshire is central to what the Oxford United Community Trust does. We aim to support everyone, no matter what their background or personal circumstances to access sport and physical activity. This sees us deliver Development Centres; After School Clubs; a Female Development programme; activities for older people; fitness programmes and we continue to broaden our offer to ensure we are meeting the needs of everyone across Oxfordshire. 

As a Community Coach or Assistant Coach you can work across all our sports participation programmes or specialise in one area.   

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• To assist in the planning, delivering and monitoring of coordinated programmes across the four Oxford United Community Trust key themes: Health & Wellbeing; Sports Participation & Coaching; Education, Training and Employment and Social Inclusion. 
• Attend Trust team meetings.
• Maintain a well-supplied medical bag for all for all Trust sessions. 
• To be committed to personal and professional development. 
• To support the development of Trust Assistant Coaches and Apprentices. 
• Provide quality coaching and instruction at the appropriate level to the demographic/age group in accordance with a syllabus and timetable agreed at the beginning of the programme. 
• To be responsible for the running of any teams associated with the designated demographic/age group and all related administration. 
• To be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of the participants in their care. 
• General communications with the relevant programme Co-ordinator or Officer.
