Chris Allen told us:
“As well as we played in the previous game against Gillingham, this was a totally different story and we didn’t deserve anything out of the game. No excuses, the better team won on the day.

“We fielded a young side with a lot of first years and YDS lads and under 16s and they battled well enough but we conceded two goals early on from two crosses which we should have cut out. The third goal was a dipping volley and that left us with a lot to do.

“We have talked a lot about playing out from the back and being brave on the ball but you also have to know when to clear your lines and when to try and play. We put ourselves under pressure when we didn’t need to and that cost us two more goals in the second half.

“It was a difficult afternoon and there’s no hiding away from that.”
