Full strength U's get ready for second pre-season game
Oxford United take on SC Wiener Neustadt this evening looking to build on an impressive first outing of the summer at Didcot on Saturday. Two goals from Kemar Roofe in the first half, two from Danny Hylton in the second plus a late strike from midfielder Josh Ashby gave the U's a 5-0 win at the weekend but Head Coach Michael Appleton admits that tonight's game is a very different test for his new-look side.
"We don't know too much about the opposition for once so that makes it a but tough but we know what we want out of the game and we will prepare properly. We know there are a lot of Oxford fans coming out for the game and we want them to enjoy the game and see another positive performance."
United have everyone available except keeper Max Crocombe, whose New Zealand commitments meant he missed the training camp in Austria. Wayne Brown may be on the bench as cover for Sam Slocombe this evening.

There is a matchday party in Clumsy’s English Pub in Wiener Neustadt starting at 4pm and continuing after the game, Clumsy’s will have the 1986 Milk Cup Final and 2010 Play-Off Finals being shown on big screens and a pool table, table football and snacks available.

The following day there is an open training session in the afternoon where fans can come to the training camp and watch the players go through their paces in a full session. This is free and will take place between 2.30 and 4pm and there will be the opportunity to meet the players afterwards. If you wish to attend the open training session then join us at viva Landessportzentrum, Industriegelände 1, 2491 Steinbrunn/Neue Siedlung. Local buses run from from Wiener Neustadt to Neufeld/Leitha Strandbad, which is close to the training complex.
There will then be a barbecue with the players at a nearby lake, starting at 6pm (Priced 16 euros per person).
