TEAM NEWS
United are likely to have Will Hoskins in the squad for the first time since September as they head for Dagenham. Hoskins scored on his return in a friendly at Barnet on Tuesday and could return to the bench for the first time since injuring his groin at Southend three months ago. The former Brighton striker has trained all week, as has Patrick Hoban who will make his return in another friendly next week. Joe Riley is unlikely to play, although the club are still talking to him and Bolton Wanderers about a new loan deal. Jon Meades and Sam Long compete for the right-back position.
Goalkeeper Ryan Clarke stands by for his 250th start for the U's.
See James Roberts, Patrick Hoban and Michael Appleton give their thoughts ahead of the game in Yellow Player where we also have a fantastic interview with Mark Creighton.
THE OPPOSITION
Alex Jakubiak, who scored for the U's in the home game against the Daggers in August, has extended his loan spell from Watford until the end of January The Daggers have kept consecutive clean sheets against promotion chasing Southend United and Bury, meaning that another former U's player, Damian Batt may have to be content with a place on the bench once more.
