Support Oxford's under-18s at home to Cambridge United on Saturday
This Saturday, Oxford United's under-18s are at home to Cambridge United in the new Merit League 2 (kick-off 11am at Rover Sports and Social Club, Roman Way).Following a narrow defeat to AFC Wimbledon in their first match (see the highlights on YouTube), United's under-18s will be looking for a turn in fortunes as they face Cambridge, who lost 1-0 to Northampton in their opening Merit League 2 game last Saturday. George Jeacock and Jordan Graham were on target for Oxford in their 3-2 defeat at Wimbledon as United fought back to level after being 2-0 down before conceding a late goal.
Coach Chris Allen said: "It was disappointing to lose to Wimbledon after the boys showed great attitude to fight back and equalise, but those are the lessons you have to learn at this age. We have the chance to put it right against a decent Cambridge side in what should be another close match."
Come along to the Oxford United training ground on Saturday morning to see the stars of the future. Admission is free.
