United's Best Manager?

Best boss, greatest gaffer or most memorable manager?

From Harry Thompson to Michael Appleton, United have employed 27 different managers (including caretakers and a brief spell when the side was selected by committee).

Whether it be the longest-serving postholder Arthur Turner, who had 10 years at the helm, or the briefest of terms with David Oldfield (who was in charge for 90 minutes), all have left their mark in Oxford's history.

Jim Smith took the side into the top flight, while his successor Maurice Evans led the side to Wembley glory. Denis Smith and Chris Wilder also have promotions on their CVs, while under Ramon Diaz the side saw its most exotic Latin American imports.

However, we want to know who you think was the best of the lot. Tell us your thoughts on Twitter using the #OUFCBigQ hashtag, and we will publish the best responses in the Carlisle United programme on Saturday 12th December.
