Chloe Signs On As Four Players Leave Oxford United Women

United Women look to next season

Oxford United Women have made their second signing of the close season with right back Chloe Bruce signing her first senior contract with the U’s, while four players have been told that they will not be offered new deals with the U’s.

Chloe is an 18-year-old right back who joined the U’s at under-15 level and became a regular in the first team last season, playing 16 times  as United established themselves in WSL 2. She joins Rosie Lane in agreeing a deal for next season with United, and Manager Les Taylor said

“It’s another really good signing. Chloe has gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months and will continue to develop as a player, we hope. She is very consistent, she listens and wants to work at her game and we are very pleased that she has committed her future to us.”

At the same time four of United’s long-serving players will be leaving, with Sahara Osborne-Ricketts, Katie Stanley, Isi Meade and Lindsay Pinker not being offered new deals.

“”It’s sad” Les said. “They have all been part of our rise over the last few years and we will miss them, but football moves quickly and we have to keep evolving as the WSL goes forward.

“We wish them all the best of luck in everything they do in the future.”
