Special Guest joins the U's at Bisham Abbey
Oxford United were pleased to welcome a new face to training the other week when long-term fan James Woollard achieved his dream of training with the first team squad.
James, Managing Director of back of shirt sponsors Polythene UK, won the chance to join the players at Bisham Abbey in an auction at the club’s End of Season Awards Dinner. After a warm-up he joined the squad in a training session that included dead ball practice, keepy-uppys and head tennis. You can see how he got on in the video below.
Head Coach Michael Appleton said:
“James is a great supporter of the club and a couple of years ago came in to give the pre-match team talk after winning that as well. We enjoyed having him with us for the training. He joined in everything we did, showed some decent touches and did really well. We’d like to thank James for the support that he and Polythene UK give to the club and we look forward to seeing him during the season.”
