TEAM NEWS
The U’s look to continue their unbeaten start to the season as they travel to Mansfield Town on Saturday. Michael Appleton's side picked up all three points against Notts County in midweek to add to draws against Crawley and Luton and leave them handily placed in the early league table.
Appleton faces interesting decisions for the game at the One Call Stadium. Callum O'Dowda was in inspired form in the win on Tuesday night, the second substitute to make an impact this week after Patrick Hoban came off the bench to score a dramatic late equaliser at Luton. Hoban duly earned a place in the starting eleven on Tuesday but it was the Irish striker who made way for O'Dowda's match-turning introduction. With new signing John Lundstram now fully fit and pushing for a place in midfield there are plenty of players pushing for places and Appleton must decide how best to use a squad that has no injury worries for this game.

THE OPPOSITION
There are plenty of familiar faces in the Mansfield squad. Two of the U's 2010 Wembley heroes could team up against their former club with Matt Green fit again and ready to join Adam Chapman in the Stags line-up. Manager Adam Murray, United's club captain that day at Wembley, is not surprised to see the U's starting the season so strongly:
“I should hope so with the players they’ve signed. There are some very good players and it’s a big club, a very big club.
“Their aim has got to be top three this season I would imagine, so it’s another good test for us but one we feel we can get something out of. They have signed players that can affect this level, but we are not going into it with any fear. We are confident in our ability.”
