Join us this Saturday as the new season kicks off
This Saturday will see a carnival atmosphere at the Kassam Stadium as Oxford United kick off the season with a home game against Crawley Town.
For the first game of the season we are pleased to announce that the Fanzone, an external bar which proved a big hit with supporters, will be back once again.
Situated in front of the South Stand, the giant marquee features a range of real ales, lagers and cider and was very popular when trialled last season. The Fanzone will be open from 12.30 and will add to what promises to be a great occasion.
To add to the carnival atmosphere there will also be performers to add music and entertainment in the build up to three o’clock. Local reggae DJ Natty Mark and majorette troupe the Strawberry Fayre Majorettes will be performing outside the ground to welcome fans.
Mascots Olly and Olivia will be on hand and inside the ground the hugely popular Olly’s Den area will be open for young fans in the Family Area to show off their football skills under the watchful eye of our community coaches.
Inside the ground fans will spot one or two changes to reflect the club’s proud history. The Hall of Fame images which show off the 25 greatest players in the club’s history will be in Olly’s Family Stand, with the name boards bearing the names of every former player in the club’s history on display in the East Stand.
With the new home kit being worn at the Kassam Stadium for the first time, a brand new state of the art pitch and a playlist of pre-match music chosen by the fans and players there is plenty going on at the Kassam Stadium this Saturday.
