United handed bye in Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round
Oxford United, who have been placed in the Southern Section West for this season's Johnstone's Paint Trophy, have been handed in a bye in the first round of the competition.The draw for Round 1 will take place on Saturday 8th August, live on Sky Sports "Soccer AM" at approximately 10.15am and Round 1 ties will be played in the week commencing 31st August.
Other teams in the Southern Section West who have been handed byes are: Bristol Rovers, Coventry City and Wycombe Wanderers. Those who are in the hat for the first-round draw are: AFC Wimbledon, Barnet, Exeter City, Newport County, Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth, Swindon Town and Yeovil Town.
