Ex Skipper to be guest of honour against Accrington
United’s next home game comes on Tuesday16th September when we welcome Accrington Stanley to the Kassam Stadium in Sky Bet League 2.
We are delighted to have a true Manor Ground legend as our guest of honour that night.
Mike Ford was an inspirational skipper for the U’s after joining from Cardiff City in 1988. Fiercely competitive as either a left back or centre half, Mike made over 300 appearances for United before joining the coaching set-up. More recently he guided Oxford City to the Conference North.
Fans get the chance to chat with ‘Fordy’ and ask questions in a Q&A session in the Manor bar at 6.30pm ahead of the Accrington game and we also invite supporters to ask him questions about his time with the club in the Matchday Magazine.
