Oxford United look to bounce back as they welcome Tranmere Rovers
Oxford United return to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday for a huge game against Tranmere Rovers.
Defeat at Cambridge ended the U’s’ run of one defeat in six games and pushed them down to 23rd in the table, just one place above managerless Tranmere. It’s a must win game for both sides, as keeper Ryan Clarke told us:
“There weren’t too many positives out of Saturday's game. It is down to us now to react and get ourselves out of the situation we have got ourselves in. We are determined to get it right and that starts against Tranmere.”
Defender Tom Newey echoed Clarke’s sentiments:
“We need to address it and work hard all week, individually and collectively to make sure that we meet the standards that we need to meet. It is all about how we respond now.”
United welcome Tyrone Barnett back after suspension and will wait on skipper Jake Wright’s fitness. The centre-half had a scan on Monday and is hoping to be available again after a knee problem.
Tickets are cheaper in advance for this game and available from www.oufctickets.co.uk and by calling 01865 337533.
