Duo have mixed fortunes after recent injuries
Defender Matt Bevans will be out of action for six to nine months after undergoing surgery after a knee injury. The versatile Bevans injured knee ligaments playing on loan at Farnborough and underwent surgery yesterday that is likely to keep him out of action until the new year. He told us:
"I've enjoyed playing at Farnborough and the injury has come at a bad time. I had a scan and then went in for the operation yesterday so now all I can do is work hard and try to come back stronger."
There was better news for Aidan Hawtin though. The midfielder also had a scan on an ankle injury but it revealed only bruising and he should be back in action on loan at Banbury very soon.
