Oxford United Women meet Notts County in Continental Cup action
Oxford United Women face a big test this Thursday when they entertain Notts County Ladies in the Continental Cup (kick-off 7.45pm).Notts County are unbeaten in the league and are currently top of the WSL1, although they were eliminated by Everton this weekend in the semi-final of the FA Women's Cup.
Despite being a new team at this level, Notts County can name a number of current internationals among their players and Oxford will have to be at their best to match them in this prestigious tie.
United are still searching for their first victory of the season and manager Les Taylor is likely to make some changes to the side, telling the official website: "We've got a couple of bright young girls coming through who might be starting. Ella Franklin Fraiture has been on the bench a few times and could get a start, while defender Chloe Bruce will be in the senior squad for the first time."
Come along and support the women on Thursday evening at Abingdon United's Northcourt Road ground. Entry is just £5 for adults or £2 for under-16s and over-65s and there are great facilities at the ground for all ages.
