Blenheim Triathlon

Oxford United back the Blenheim Palace Triathlon

Oxford United Football Club are proud to support the upcoming Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Blenheim Palace Triathlon, which takes place on 7-8 June 2014.

The U's have signed up women’s first-team members Holly Pickett and Amy Chilvers to take part in relay team at the triathlon, with each team member taking on one leg of the event: either the swim, bike or run leg. The football team were last year selected as members of the newly established Women’s Super League2 (FA WSL2 League), the top level in English women’s football.

Holly Pickett said: “We are excited to be supporting the Blenheim Palace Triathlon - not only one of the top events in the local area but the UK’s second largest, and most picturesque, triathlon. We’re hoping our team’s supporters will get behind us and cheer us on throughout the day.”

More than 7,000 competitors and 15,000 spectators are expected through the gates of the spectacular World Heritage Site in June and places are close to selling out.

Limited places are still available. To enter, or for more information, please visit www.theblenheimtriathlon.co.uk.
