Women to face Durham on Sunday
Oxford United Women are back in action this weekend as they make the long journey to Durham in WSL2.
The team have had a break for the last three weeks due to internationals but manager Les Taylor believes that his side will benefit from the lay-off.
“We have had a chance to take stock,” he told us. “There was such excitement around the start of the season and the games flew past but with all clubs having a bit of a break we have been able to take a little time to see where we are.
“The girls have been brilliant so far. I asked them for hard work and togetherness and they have given it everything in all of the games. We have done ok in the league games and will learn lessons from the Continental Cup, where we have played sides full of international players at times.
“We have still trained hard over the last few weeks and I believe we can go to Durham on Sunday looking to be positive and get a result.”
The team take on Durham at New Ferens Park on Sunday 29th, kick off at 12 noon. They then travel to Solihull Moors on Wednesday to take on Birmingham City Ladies before a home game at Abingdon United on Sunday 6th July against Yeovil Town.
