Early team news as Oxford United head for Wycombe Wanderers in SKYbet league 2
United welcome Nicky Wroe back into the squad as they make the short trip to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
The on-loan Preston midfielder was ineligible in the FA Cup game at Charlton on Tuesday night and will similarly be unavailable for next Tuesday night’s replay at the Kassam Stadium, but comes back into contention as United return to league action at Adams Park.
Manager Chris Wilder has interesting choices to make after United’s excellent performance at the Valley. Wroe will be hoping for a recall but fellow midfielder Danny Rose also missed out on Tuesday while striker Dave Kitson was only lightly used as a substitute. With Johnny Mullins starring in midfield in the last two games and young Josh Ruffels having a fine game at the Valley United have plenty of options in the middle of the park while goalscorer Scott Davies will also be hoping to continue against his former club.
United will also be able to recall keeper Jonathan Henly to the bench having played on Tuesday with no sub keeper available.
