Chris Wilder’s Verdict
“It was a touch frustrating. There was loads of hard work and loads of effort and it was a lot better than the second half against Scunthorpe. There was good energy, especially in the first half where I thought we dominated the game. In the second half it became a little bit more even; we tried to force it a little bit and sometimes that didn’t quite come off but it was just a bit frustrating for the fans, staff and players that we didn’t manage to get our noses in front because if we had done that then I think we’d have held on.
“We didn’t maybe work their goalkeeper enough but we had a lot of control of the game which pleased me and Ryan Clarke has not really had to do anything at the other end. I think that’s probably the story of the game.”
